The Treasurer/Chief School Business Official is responsible for the administration of the financial affairs of the school system and serves as the custodian of financial assets. She also is responsible for the creation and implementation of the annual county budget, as well as the preparation of the annual financial statements. All payroll and related functions are the responsibility of the Finance Department, as well as the accounts payable function.
Amy has worked as the Treasurer for Roane County Schools since August of 2009. Prior to that, she was an auditor with the firm of Arnett & Foster, PLLC in Charleston, WV. She has a BS in Business Administration: Accounting, a Masters of Professional Accountancy and a graduate certificate in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation, all from West Virginia University. She is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
