"Caring Optimal Adults Contribute Help"
Reward your child for reaching goals. Your child can do it! He learned all of his multiplication tables. He was named Student of the Month. No matter what the accomplishment, it is important to celebrate. This raises the chances of future success. Here are some fun ideas:
Take a picture. Photograph your child as he achieves a goal. Frame and display the picture. When you replace it, put it in a special photo album.
Keep a journal. Give your child a special "Goals Journal." As he reaches objectives, have him record thoughts and feelings.
Plan a special treat. Go out for ice cream or serve a special dinner. Choose an activity that is meaningful to your child. Invite the whole family along.

REMINDERS
When your child is absent, please send a written excuse to the homeroom teacher. Once your child has five unexcused absences, we must send a letter home which requires parents to meet with Mrs. Chadwell.
Please refrain from picking up your child before 3:30 P.M. Missing a few minutes of class each day builds up over time. Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated!
Lunch bills were sent home last week. Please make an effort to turn in payments promptly. If you have any questions, please call the school at 304.565.3721.

"Read Right Now"
February 13-17
Title I is sponsoring "Read Right Now" next week. The schedule of events are as follows:
● February 13th - Launch of book drive and daily exchange. All week
students are asked to bring in a used book from home to exchange for a
used book from another student.
● February 14th "Read from the Heart Day" High school students
(Shania Lloyd, JC Nichols, Joey Reed, Brad Reichard and Cassidy
Taylor) will read to our classes.
● February 15th "Stop, Relax, and Read" At 1:30 P.M. all students will
read.
● February 16th "One School, One Book" kickoff at 2:00 P.M. in the
cafeteria. Each family in grades K-8 will receive a book to be read
together each night as a family activity.
